2025

Welcome to 2025! Later in 2024, I decided I wanted to add more sculptural elements to my work, and went in hoping to learn about low relief sculpture. In class the direction was not what I expected but was still valuable in that it led me to be inspired to extend my learning once again by diving into videos by brilliant potters on YouTube and Instagram. If you want to learn pottery, there are so many resources online. I appreciate all the potters sharing what they know so I can continue improving upon and building my work.

This year, I am adding birds and flowers to my work and definitely working with more hand building, specifically with slab work. I have learned that it’s so important to balance production with creation. Handbuilding provides me a way to bring more creativity to my day and I love that so much. As the year progresses, who knows what else I will learn. Enjoy the journey so far!
